So, about two weeks ago, I went to the Garden and tried out my Diana Lens. It was a fabulously perfect evening– the sun was starting to set. I was experimenting with my Diana Lens and LOVING it. Seriously. I was sitting in the Japanese Garden in my favorite little spot and was shooting the sunset across the little lake. Absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to get the pilings next to the shore in the shot along with the sun reflecting on the water– I got one shot and as moved to get closer– PLOP! the Diana Lens fell right into the lake!!!

Fortunately, I fished it out of the lake (it floated!) I think it’s okay. It’s all plastic– there are no mechanical parts to be damamged… I haven’t tried it out yet–it’s been drying on a towel all this time.  I’m going to try it out this weekend. Please keep your fingers crossed that it still works and looks okay!

Here are some other shots I took with that lens (prior to dropping it in the lake!) See what I mean? Don’t they look so dreamy? Look at those fabulous sun flares!

I’ve been to the Garden 3 times in the last two weeks (wha? that’s not excessive– if I could, I’d go every day…) Its so unbelievably gorgeous over there. And every time I go, it’s always different! TONS of new tulips have started popping up this week, (the esplanade is FULL of them! and the bulb garden is starting to bloom nicely as well. ) Soon, I suspect by this weekend or early next week, the crab apple blossoms and lilacs will be out in full bloom too… After that, the alliums, lilies, and peonies…

You know, a photo a day for a year sounds really easy, right? Sure, it is, until your critic gets into the picture (ha! no pun intended.) I have to keep reminding myself that it’s just a photo a day– it doesn’t have to be a rock star every time… I can’t believe I’m on day 90. Sure, I’ve missed a few days here and there, but for the most part, I’ve kept with it. I am starting to feel that my photos are getting a little repetitive though (hello critic!) Only 275 days left (gulp!!)…

wow. it was absolutely gorgeous in chicago yesterday. in the 70’s and sunny– an absolutely perfect spring day. today will be more of the same! I’m looking forward to my 4 day weekend, Easter (and the after Easter candy sales!) and going to the Garden on Sunday. This will be my first visit to the Garden this spring. I can’t wait!!! I’ve already seen a few magnolia trees in full bloom!

oh, i am so ready for spring. bring it on!

so… yeah… i accidentally deleted my 365 pic for yesterday (d’oh! especially painful after risking life and limb shooting while driving again!) So, instead of an awesome 365 of power lines and telephone poles, you get nature. enjoy!

my entry in this weeks Photo Friday Challenge.

hello! happy Wednesday! Things are pretty quiet over here (that’s good!) Easter was fabulous. We got to go to the botanic garden for the first time this year. I saw signs of spring– I’m a happy camper! I also got some great shots of my gnome playing in the garden–

I can’t wait to get these cuties in my shops! They should be going up either late tonight or tomorrow! Have a great day!

hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
i’m heading to the garden! (woot!)
